Merrill’s Musings...Where Ro Rambles

You may or may not know that I have two reader groups on Facebook. One I run with my gal pals Kimberlie L. Faye and Ellay Branton called Sex, Gods, and Rock ‘n’ Roll. We started this group four years ago and some of our original Goddesses are some of my dearest friends and most faithful readers. We still share posts, but it’s been awhile since we’ve had any major events.
When I made the move to write both LGBTQ and straight romances, I started Ro’s Roadies Of Romance. I envisioned it as a place where we could safely share thoughts about books, both LGBTQ and straight, talk music, and all the other things that I get cooky about. I recently put up this poll and I was excited to see some of the choices., one of which being ramblings! Ha! Be careful what you wish for! So I’m going to give some of these things a shot, and I appreciate the participation!
Over the next couple of months I'm going to be insane with authory stuff, and it's also time to wrap up the last quarter of the school year. I've finished a f/f novella for June, nearly finished a paranormal for June, and I plan to write a holiday novella before diving into the Forces of Nature series with one to two new books as well as doing edits and writing more in my next series from Dreamspinner, Summer of Hush.
And events!!! I get to be out and about with readery folks! April 13th I'll be at the LA Times Festival of Books at the USC Campus with Dreamspinner. May 15-19th I'll be in New Orleans with the Booklovers Con and I will have SO MANY GOODIES FOR YOU GUYS! Can't get to New Orleans? I'll be going live, I'll have special treats, and so much more. In September I'll be at The Romance Retreat, an all-subgenre spinoff of The Historical Romance Retreat, which I hear is phenomenal! Let me know if you'll be at any of these events and let's be sure to meet up!
I'm also contemplating sending out a short story for my subscribers in May to give you a little teaser before the June releases. Details coming soon!
I’ve had quite a few “musings” lately, one of which being on the topic of “guilty pleasures” which you can read on this blog post here: Originality by Design and you can also catch the podcast I did with a Tale of Two Cities on this topic. I'd love to hear your thoughts! You can always email me at rlmerrillauthor@gmail.com or message me on Twitter or Facebook. Any "musings" topics you'd like to add? Let me hear it!
I plan to share my activities with you all over the next couple of months and would love to hear from you!
Stay Tuned for more Rock 'n' Romance!
