Friendy Friday with Ardy Kelly and a #WorstHolidayEver excerpt!
Greetings Rock 'n' Romancers and welcome to this week's Friendy Friday! Today I'm sharing the latest from a good friend of mine and once again he's written an outrageously fun new romance!

For those of you who haven't read any m/m romance, you may not be familiar with Mpreg. I haven't read any as of yet, but I have lots of friends who have. What I can tell you is that I love Mr. Kelly and he has the greatest sense of dry humor this side of the Arizona desert. I'm sure this book will be a boatload of fun. He literally had me at "shift-faced," which you'll hear more about in a moment.
For those of you not familiar, I did a little research and I started to post a blog I found, but honestly there's a lot of negativity around knotting and mpreg, so I'm going to give you definitions and let you decide whether you want to continue reading. I for one have already downloaded this baby, which hit Amazon's Top 100 Gay Romance list!
According to Urban Dictionary:
Knotting: When animals mate, specifically canines--I'm actually not sure about felines--the penis enlarges during climax and remains enlarged to the point where he is literally stuck inside the female for as long as it the mating process goes on. This happens to ensure insemination, and the male can ejaculate several times before he is shrinks down small enough to unmount. This is used as a kink of sorts in hybrid / abo fanfictions."Does this fic have knotting in it?""Is it a knot fic?"#knotting#knot#abo#hybrid#kink
And MPreg:
The term is short for Male Pregnancy and is most often used in fan fiction to describe the surprising occurrence of pregnant males. It is most typically seen in male/male pairings, but has occasionally sprung up in other situations. Is most commonly used as an adjective.
The Arnold Schwarzenegger film, Junior, was a Mpreg film.
I personally feel like whatever people want to read, whatever makes them happy, is up to the individual. Here at the Rock 'n' Romance Blog, I'm all about sharing with you some amazing writers and their stories in the hopes you'll maybe find something new to love. With that, I present to you Mr. Ardy Kelly and The Cub Club!
What would you do if your adopted son shifted into a wolf cub before your eyes?
For single dad Steven the choice was simple - find the boy's family and hope they had the answers. As the alpha of Lone Wolves Ranch, Mack trusted in humans as much as he trusted in love. Not at all. But he had a soft spot for the brave man searching for his son's relatives. When he discovers Steven is his fated mate, he's stuck between a soft spot and a hard place. The Cub Club is a gay wolf shifter romance containing Mpreg and knotting. A complete 65,000-word novel - no cliffhanger!

And here are a few words from Ardy Kelly himself:
Do your books spring to life from a character first or an idea?
From an idea. I tend to see the world in an unique way. Some see the cup as half empty, some see it as half full. I’m looking for the coaster.
The Best Laid series I wrote (as Robyn Kelly) was from the idea that 50 Shades of Grey should have been funnier. The idea for The Cub Club was from reading about too many frightened, abandoned, shunned, shamed Omegas. Parenting requires courage. I wanted to create a nurturing, protective Omega with a family-positive vibe. My Omega isn't a victim.
Where do you like to write?
On a cruise ship. Really! I’ve been on two cruises to Mexico and still haven’t gotten off the boat. If I go alone, It’s the perfect environment for a writer. There’s always food available. Someone else washes the dishes, makes your bed and cleans your room every day. You can take a break and see a show, and still be back in your room within an hour. It’s like summer camp for adults.
I think Mr. Kelly has the right idea about the best place to write for sure! Anyone got some extra cruise tickets available?

IN OTHER NEWS...
We are super close to the release of Worst Holiday Ever and I can't WAIT to share that collection with you. I just had lunch with the fabulous Kilby Blades, who is organizing this tasty morsel, and she assures me the stories will all make you want to curl up with a warm beverage and put up that Do Not Disturb sign! Here's a little excerpt for you:
Both Orrie and Dalton were children of divorced parents. Around the holiday that meant making the rounds to various family members’ homes. Dalton looked at it like a carefully orchestrated military campaign. Hit the targets with maximum impact, get out without any casualties. Dalton Bishop may not be a military strategist, but he was the CEO of Bishop Tech, and his company was currently sitting atop the NASDAQ. The value of its shares more than doubled this past year and continued to climb, and Dalton had even bigger plans for 2019, only some of which were business-related.
His greatest conquest would be winning the hand of the man he’d come to love ferociously over the past year.
When he’d planned last year’s company-wide End of Summer Bash, he never thought hiring alt-rock sensation Orrie Jones would change his life. He’d heard the guy’s music after receiving his album in his vinyl subscription pack from Jack White’s record label and knew he’d be great for the party. A local band opened for him, and when he took the stage, Dalton had been gobsmacked, dumbstruck, and instantly infatuated. Orrie’s hands made his guitar weep soulfully one moment and then growl predatorily the next, and his voice blasted Dalton’s skin like the heat from a bonfire.
The moment he’d hit the last note, Dalton raced to shake his hand, bring him a drink, and invite him to a more private party. Orrie had rocked his world that night—and every night since, whether in person or on FaceTime when he was on tour or Dalton was traveling for business.
Orrie’d given him such happiness. Dalton intended to return it for the rest of their lives.
So many amazing authors are joining together for this book, women that I've admired for a long time. I'm thrilled to be a part of this. Here's the link for you to pick up yours!
